A Few Things Captains Have Asked

Over the last few days we’ve had a few key questions from several captains, so we thought it might be a good idea to pull the answers together in one place before registration goes live.

The Home Nations – World Cup Edition takes place on 3–4 July 2027 at Loughborough Students’ Union, with room for 70 teams and 420 coaches. Registration opens on Sunday 4 October at 11:00 BST / 12:00 CEST at homenationsbloodbowl.com/register.

International teams

Up to 10 international squads can register early on Thursday 1 October at 8pm CEST at homenationsbloodbowl.com/register. This is a limited pre-registration window for international teams ahead of the main registration opening on Sunday.

Registration payment moved back to 25 October to help captains plan

With the delay to World Cup registration, we recognise that coaches hoping to attend both events may find themselves paying for two major tournaments within a week of each other. We would normally allow 14 days to pay the registration fee after submitting the form, but to give captains and coaches a little more breathing room, we’ve moved the payment deadline back to 25 October.

A few key questions captains have asked

The first, and probably most asked question is; do you need to know who your six coaches are and confirmed before you register? If your squad is already sorted, great. If you are still filling one or two spaces, that is absolutely fine too. To register the team, your captain just needs the team name, NAF name and their contact details.

Some squads are looking at more than one team attending Home Nations and they've asked if one form is enough. For the Home Nations each team needs one registration form. So if one of the club is the organised one they can enter more than one team, but they will need to enter a form for each team they want to enter. Easiest thing to do is make sure each team has a captain and give them the responsibility for completing their team's registration on Sunday.

A few captains have also asked what happens if the squad changes between now and July. The answer is simple: coaches can be changed later. We know how far away July still is and we are not expecting every team submitted in October to arrive six months later with exactly the same six names. Likewise, if you register while still looking for a final coach or two, there is plenty of time to recruit a team member later.

You won’t need to pay immediately when you register on Sunday. Once your team has registered, captains will be sent instructions on how to pay, with payment due by 25 October. Registration costs £390 per team. Also please don't send any money until you've received an email with a unique reference number.

Last year Home Nations sold out in 9 minutes. This year 70 teams and 420 coaches have the chance to make history at the biggest Blood Bowl tournament ever held in the UK. If you want your team to be one of them, make sure your captain has set the alarm.

Registration goes live Sunday 4 October 11am BST

If you want to get your hands on this year’s awesome Home Nations Re-Roll Shield while playing the World Cup six-coach format with your mates, don’t forget to set the alarm - tickets will go fast!

Registration opens: Sunday 4 October at 11am BST / 12pm CEST at homenationsbloodbowl.com/register
