Best Painted Competition sponsored by Greasy Miniatures
For many the glory comes from winning on the pitch and you can bet your boots that the battle will be fierce at the top tables in the Home Nations Open this weekend. Especially so for those coaches playing in their country’s jersey where national pride is on the line and an early psychological win going into Warsaw will be happily banked by whichever nation comes out on top in the Bowl.
However, one of the great things about Blood Bowl is there are all sorts of win conditions and side quests that appeal to coaches who gain enjoyment from the game and community in many different ways.One of the great aspects to the hobby is the painting of a team with all the time, care and attention put in to make a coach’s team come to life as they take to the astrogranite.
The Home Nations celebrates this aspect of the game as much as winning on the pitch and so I’m delighted to announce this year’s Best Painted Competition kindly sponsored by Greasy Miniatures.
How to enter the painting competition
To help us manage a busy tournament weekend, if you would like to enter your team for Best Painted please follow these easy instructions:
Complete the Registration Form with the deadline of Saturday 5 July 3.30pm (start of round 3)
On Sunday morning between 8.30am and 9am come to the registration desk and collect your painting number
At lunch time, 1.45pm bring your team to the front for the judges to review and your team will be ready to be returned to you at 2.30pm in time for the last round
What do you get for winning?!
Well not only will you have the pride of saying you won Best Painted at The Home Nations you will also receive a lovely printed team from Greasy Miniatures and a set of Kolinsky Sable Pointed Rounds which were selected with guidance from experienced painter and Team England Captain, Thulean
Some great entrants last year - feel inspired!
There were lots of good entries last year, and it was a proper tough job to judge, but DocMiniature with his Chaos Chosen won out - look at them, stunning! (Luckily for you he's not at Home Nations this year to defend the title!)
Eleven entries so far
At time of publication we only have eleven coaches entered from three-hundred and twenty coaches. I can’t believe we only have eleven talented painters! I’d encourage you to enter so you make the judges’ job more difficult!
