The most recent edition of Home Nations saw 268 coaches descend on Loughborough making it the fastest growing tournament in the UK and Ireland and the largest event in Europe to use the Eurobowl ruleset other than Eurobowl itself!
What became clear in the lead-up and during the course of the event was how much people relied on the website to get the information they needed on the tournament. This of course is obvious, but I've never been great at managing technical tools, so staying on top of the website was difficult as I hadn't set-up the site myself, due to a lack of skill and expertise.
The Home Nations is eternally grateful to the tournament's friend, and Irish coach, UnforgivenIrl, Aidan, who put a lot of work in to setting up the original website. The challenge I faced as TO was not being familiar with the system, which meant I shied away from regularly updating the site. It meant I chose to rely more on Google docs to disseminate tournament information, which was fine up to a point. However it became clear that as the Home Nations grew we needed to be able to present a central easily viewable website with the relevant information. So I plunged into making a new website myself using Wix, the website builder, and I have to say I'm quite proud of what I've produced.

I'm under no illusions that the website's makeover isn't going to win any prizes, but I'm pleased with the outcome, much like some coaches who dabble with painting their own teams (Ed: this is not something Jock does either!).
However more importantly I'm familiar with the website builder that means I'll be able to deliver timely updates on the latest information. So I hope you enjoy the new look and being able to reference the website as a source of truth for all things Home Nations. Thanks again to Aidan, we couldn't have got started without you!
